Refund policy

We sell a downloadable essay collection PDF for $13. We want you to be happy with your purchase, but we also understand that sometimes you change your mind. This page explains our refund policy in plain language so you know exactly what to expect if you decide that our essay collection isn't what you wanted.

What You're Buying

Our essay collection is a downloadable PDF file containing a curated selection of essays from the JP Atmos archive, along with one or two pieces that are exclusive to the collection. When you complete your purchase, you receive a download link that allows you to download the PDF to your device. Because this is a digital product, we can't take it back in the way that a physical store can take back a book. But we can offer you a refund if you're not satisfied, and we do so according to the timeline below.

Refund Timeline

Our refund policy is based on how much time has passed since your purchase. We use this approach because we think it's fair: the sooner you let us know that you're not satisfied, the more complete your refund will be.

30 days or more since purchase: Full refund. If it's been 30 days or more since you bought the essay collection, and you decide you'd like your money back, we will refund the full purchase price of $13 to your original payment method. No questions asked. We may ask why you're requesting a refund, but your answer is optional and won't affect whether you receive it.

14 to 29 days since purchase: 50% refund. If it's been between 14 and 29 days since your purchase, we will refund 50% of the purchase price, which is $6.50. We use this reduced refund amount because we assume that if you've held onto the PDF for two weeks or more, you've likely had a chance to read some or all of it, and we're essentially compensating you for the portion you didn't find valuable while acknowledging that you did receive some value from the product.

Less than 14 days since purchase: No refund. If it's been less than 14 days since you bought the essay collection, we do not offer refunds. This is because digital products can be downloaded and consumed immediately, and a very short window creates a situation where someone could buy the PDF, download it, read it, and request a refund within days. We need a reasonable minimum period to protect against this kind of abuse. If you have a genuine problem with your purchase within this window, please contact us and we'll try to work something out.

Delivery Failure

If your download link doesn't work, if the PDF file is corrupted, or if you never receive your purchase for any technical reason on our end, you are entitled to an automatic full refund regardless of how much time has passed. We will also attempt to fix the technical issue and get you a working copy of the essay collection if you still want it. Delivery failures are our responsibility, not yours, and we won't penalize you for our mistakes.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, send an email to write@jpatmos.com with your order number and a brief note letting us know that you'd like a refund. If you want to tell us why, we're genuinely interested in your feedback, but you don't have to. Refunds are typically processed within 5 to 7 business days and will appear on your original payment method.

No Subscriptions

We do not offer any subscription products. The essay collection is a one-time purchase. You will never be automatically charged for anything on our site. If you see a charge from JP Atmos that you don't recognize, please contact us immediately and we will investigate.
